Our community

The Shaarei Eliyahu community regrets the value of unity along with adhering to the tradition of Beit Abba. The community life framework takes place jointly, with the Ashkenazi and Sephardi prayers being held separately.

Accordingly, in addition to prayers on Shabbat and on weekdays, classes and social activities are held.

Work to complete the synagogue building is currently in progress in accordance with a professional architectural design, with the approval of a certified engineer, under the recommendations and guidelines of various professional consultants.

The skeleton of the Shaarei Eliyahu synagogue was handed over to the Beit Moriah Association, following a tender conducted by the Efrat Local Council. In light of the request of the contractor who erected and handed over the building to the council, the name of the community is changed to Shaarei Eliyahu, while the name of the association remains at this stage as it is before the registrar of associations. Today Shabbat prayers are temporarily held separately. The Ashkenazi minyan is held in a public parking lot located under the skeleton of the building, while the Sephardi minyan is held at a nearby school and community members expect to enter the permanent residence in the coming months, in order to realize the shared vision
